Island Camping Program
This program is a partnership between the
Lake Clear Conservancy, Bonnechere Valley Township and the
Ministry of Natural Resources.
By
means of a land use permit given by the MNR to BVT, the
Conservancy stewards
the
12 crown islands on Lake Clear
and manages the camping program.
The Island Camping program is on a
first come basis.
The program provides a total of
seven campsites on Haines,
Muddy and Blueberry Islands.
There is no charge for camping on
the islands.
Campers
are asked to register at either
Breen's Store (Opeongo Road)
or
Opeongo Mountain Resort and
to
leave the island in the
condition
in which it was
found.
If you are on an island and notice
something requiring attention then
please let us know at
lcc@lakeclear.org or by
contacting one of our
Board Members.
Download the Island Camping registration
form here.
Please note you must still register
at either Breen's Store or Opeongo Mountain Resort to complete
the registration process.
Just a reminder that there is no
overnight parking on Weiland Shore Road and Island Campers
should park their vehicles at the municipal park at the corner
of Weiland Shore Road and Opeongo Road.
